Prepare 3-5 Key Points

For instance, mentioning your experience working with Fortune 500 companies or highlighting your extensive industry experience can subtly affirm your authority.

Be Clear, Not Perfect

Nobody expects you to be perfect, but they do expect clarity. Ensure that your points are communicated clearly and concisely. Trying too hard to be perfect can make you appear robotic or over-rehearsed. Let your authenticity shine through.

Don’t Run On

Being mindful of time is crucial, especially in a live interview. Don’t ramble or get caught up in lengthy explanations. Keep your points concise and direct. If you find yourself running on, take a moment to refocus and return to your key points.

Challenge the Viewer with Questions

Engage your audience by posing thought-provoking questions. This encourages them to think more deeply about what you’re saying and can spur them to action. For example, if you run a carpet cleaning business, you could ask, “When was the last time you had a deep clean of your carpets?”
